Autopoke

Here's a neat little app that's good for getting into poking wars with your friends on facebook.  You need to configure facebook settings to send you a text message whenever you get poked, and then autopoke will instantly poke the person back for you right away.

This app runs in the background and does it's job quite well.  There are no settings or anything to configure.  Just run it once and it'll do it's job.

My friends don't know how I'm always able to poke them back at all hours of the day and night and it's funny when they try to outpoke me.

It isn't especially useful or anything but it's a good app for a bit of humour.

I like this app more than I probably should.  It isn't especially fun or useful to me, but every time I open open it, I feel so very impressed with the current state of technology.

Another addictive free game for you readers.  I present: Ninjump!

Barcode Scanner

If you've been wondering how to scan those QR codes you see from time to time (like the ones posted on here) then Barcode Scanner is a good solution. 

With this handy app you can scan regular barcodes on products and look up pricing and reviews.  If you scan a book's barcode you can search inside the book for a word and find where it occurs (if the book is on books.google.com).

Or you can scan QR codes which can store anything from contact info, URLs, SMS or plaintext messages, and more.  If you see a QR code on this site to download an app that you want, you can just scan your monitor and it'll take you to the place to download the app.

Usage of Barcode Scanner is pretty straightforward and easy to figure out.  The only downside to it could be the fact that it does not retain a history of previous scans.  Personally I'm not sure if that's a drawback or not, since I'm not sure I'd want it to keep a history.

If you have a smartphone, you probably already know about this game.  But if you haven't played it yet, here's my take on it.

Blogger

I'm posting this etirely from my phone using the Blogger app.  It seems pretty well set up and easy to use. 

It seems to have a few less options than using a computer.  I wish it could schedule posts to go up at a later time, but aside from the minor drawbacks it is pretty convenient and can access my camera so I can take pictures and put em on here easily...If I wanted to.
